Someone Is Waiting for You
Someone who remembers not only what you do well but what you can't do, what you dislike, what feels shabby — who recognizes, understands, and accepts all of it. That person is waiting for you somewhere too.
Truly everyone — every person —
“things you're good at and things you're not,”
“things you love and things you hate,”
“things you're proud of and things that feel shabby” —
carries both of each.
This morning, you woke and began another day.
Try picturing it once.
And remember this:
“Someone is waiting for you.”
Someone who sees not only what you do well, what you love, what you're proud of,
but who remembers, recognizes, understands, and accepts even what you can't do, what you hate, what feels shabby.
And that person, too, is waiting for you somewhere.
Until that very person finally appears before your eyes.
