I Don't Try to Be Loved by Everyone
Live long enough and enemies appear on their own — usually born of envy. So I keep, to the very end, the people who never envied in the first place and simply love people.
I don't try to be loved by everyone.
Honestly, I just lived my life,
and living, I found that enemies sometimes appear on their own.
Usually envy and jealousy are what turn a person into an enemy all by themselves.
So the people who never had envy in them to begin with — who simply like people — I look after to the very end.
They recognize my value, and I recognize theirs.
Recognizing another person's strengths.
Recognizing value.
Knowing what respect actually is.
This is not personality.
It is the result of relentless effort and self-reflection.
These people consider themselves good people — by their own judgment.
And in the end, everyone comes to consider them good people too.
People like this, I keep at my side. To the very end.
